opening day

… has finally arrived, and all is (mostly) right with the world again. Even better, the Indians are up 7-4 against the White Sox after five innings. But lemme ask you this… is it a good sign if your starting catcher (who happens to hit cleanup, somehow) pulls his hamstring in the second inning of the first game of the season? (sigh)

And is it a good thing if your ace pitcher, the reigning Cy Young winner, gives up 5 earned runs in 6 innings? –including a pair of 2-run homers to Jim Thome?

  2. Jim-Bo!!! Says:

Victor is following the same path as last year, and at least the game he got injured in counts! All is well, a win is a win (and a Tiger loss to the Royals is a Tiger loss to the Royals).

I will not the Cubs are well on their way to the first ever 0-162 finish. I’ll shortly be picking out the set of clubs you’re going to buy me…
