new year, new semester
Happy new year, everyone.
I’m in the last few days before hitting the grind again.. you may have noticed that my last few posts have been “light” instead of “heavy” in content. This semester I’m taking three courses again; two are continuations of courses last semester (Old Testament and Constructive Theology). The third is called Pastoral Care / Family Life Cycle … teaching us how to be pastors throughout the life cycle of a family, apparently. There are several different textbooks for that course, each covering a different phase of family life.
Shout out for amazon.com – I ordered books three days ago, and a partial shipment arrived yesterday.
Alongside the seminary courses, I’ll be teaching three math courses again: one intermediate algebra like last semester, and then two elementary education courses on AU’s campus – Numeration Systems and Geometry (both for teachers). The material looks like fun stuff to teach, but as of yesterday the total enrollment for both courses is 12, most of which are women older than me. It’ll be an interesting semester…
